A group of women born in the 1950s took to Cornish cliffs to protest about pensions.
The women, who now have to wait longer to receive the state pension, travelled from across the county and were joined by MPs Scott Mann (North Cornwall) and Steve Double (St Austell) on the north coast near Bedruthan Steps.
The protest was part of the WASPI (Women Against State Pension Inequality) National Day of Local Action.
The campaigners say they are against the accelerated increase in women’s retirement age and the lack of notice given about the changes.
Janette Johnson, of Warleggan, said: ‘Here we are standing on some of the richest land in the country, just a seagull’s cry away from the exclusive hotels, high-end restaurants and luxury properties synonymous with the Cornwall of today and yet our retirement plans have been shattered.
’We cannot live on sea views alone and many ladies see their futures closer to the povertystricken bal-maidens of the Poldark era: a stark contrast from the retirement idyll in Cornwall!’
The campaigners say they want to achieve fair transitional state pension arrangements for women born in the 1950s.
