Change of guard on the Rame Peninsula

As local election results continue to be published there has been a change of guard on the Rame Peninsula. Chairman of Maker with Rame Parish Council Chris Wilton has lost his seat along with three further previously sitting councillors. Seven of the eight new candidates stood by a newly formed group, INFORM Rame, have been elected onto the local council. The turnout here was very high for a local election at 67%.

In St Cleer, four new councillors will take up their seats on the parish council, and will join all nine of the previous councillors who put themselves forward for re-election. Three new candidates on the ballot paper were not elected.
