POLICE were called to reports of a man being assaulted with a hammer in a property in Lower Market Street, Looe, at around 7.40pm, on Thursday 8 April.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: “It is thought three men were involved in the attack and officers including dog units attended and carried out a search of the area.

“A cordon was put in place around the scene of the attack and streets immediately around it.

The three men being sought were thought to be wearing dark-coloured hoodies and possibly had Birmingham accents.

“The victim suffered bruising to his back and head and he has lost a tooth. He has been discharged from Derriford Hospital.”
