POLICE Inspector Ray Day of the Devon and Cornwall Constabulary retired last week after 30 years service with the Force. He started his police career in Fife, Scotland and then came south and served throughout Devon and Cornwall. He ended his police service at Torpoint. His successor is Inspector John Moxom, who will be based at Saltash, but will also cover Torpoint and Callington in his duties. Inspector Moxom has served in the Intelligence unit at Launceston, and he has been in the Force for 17 years.
