Liskeard Drama Group have had had to suspend their next production, an adaptation of A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens, because of casting problems. Work on the play, which was to have been performed at the Public Hall in December, will now be resumed next year. Meanwhile, the group is now making plans for next springs's production and is hosting an open reading of Rashomon - one of the plays under consideration - on Wednesday November 10 at Stuart House. The powerful play is set in feudal Japan and famously filmed in the 1960's by Akira Kurosawa. The reading starts at 7.30pm and everyone is welcome to attend and discover more about director Jenny Cole's proposals for the exciting project.
