PLANS for a new South East Cornwall fundraising Easter event have been revealed by an organisation which specialises in giving guidance and advice to help people with legal, debt, consumer, housing and other problems.

Citizens Advice (CA) Cornwall is planning to hold a fundraising Easter Fayre in Liskeard and calling on local craft and gift businesses and stallholders to join in.

The event will take place at the town’s Liskerett Centre on Sunday, April 10, and the cost of having a stall will be £25, with all profits going to the charity.

CA Cornwall Community Fundraising Manager Tamsin Chapman Gunner said: “We are delighted to be hosting physical events again and look forward to seeing lots of people there on the day.

“As with most charities, the last few years have been tough, so I’m really looking forward to being out and about in the community again.”

The event will include an Easter egg hunt, children’s activities and advice and information on a wide range of subjects.

For more information or to book a stall people are asked to email [email protected] or call 07549-087438

A spokesperson said: “Citizens Advice Cornwall is a charity providing free, independent and confidential advice on a wide range of subjects for everyone in the community. Our vital services include advice on welfare benefits, debt, housing, relationship issues, employment and redundancy, consumer, legal issues and more.

“Last year Citizens Advice helped almost 9,000 people in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly writing-off debt worth a total of £1.1 million and gaining income worth £7.4 million.”
