A REVISED proposal for up to 100 new houses and a care facility on the Barbican in East Looe is set to be discussed by the Town Council.

An outline planning application has been submitted to Cornwall Council for land opposite Looe Community Academy.

Looe Town Council had previously objected to the plans on the grounds that the scheme was ‘too big’ for the town.

But councillors will take another look at the plans this week; the project has been amended slightly, with more flexibility built in to the care facility aspect, which is now also described as affordable.

The planning meeting will take place on Wednesday at the Looe Town Council offices.
