ATTRACTING a ‘quality retailer’ is a priority for the owner of an empty town building.
Michael Demensis, who owns Highwood House in Barras Street, Liskeard, wants to make alterations to it.
The ground floor was home to Parade Discounts but has been empty for some time.
Now agent Vickery Holman has submitted a planning application to Cornwall Council proposing the creation of a separate access to the building’s retail and residential parts, and removing some modern additions at the back.
The apartments on the upper floors would be refurbished, and the ground floor retail floorspace would be reduced.
