A proposal to build a new cul-de-sac of five houses on the north-eastern edge of Polruan has been put forward to Cornwall Council.
An outline planning application has been submitted by Richard Pearce for land adjoining the existing Kendall Park.
Agent Urban and Rural Planning Associates says that the small-scale development of open-market houses could be accommodated without harming the character of the area, and without causing a negative impact on the local roads.
Access to the new houses would be via Kendall Park, off Greenbank Road.
Mr Pearce gave a presentation to Lanteglos-by-Fowey Parish Council during their June meeting, and the council later resolved to support the scheme.
So far, four comments objecting to the plans and one in support have been lodged on Cornwall Council’s planning portal by members of the public.
