Possible plans for the future of Liskeard’s Cattle Market site went on public view today.
The Town Council are encouraging residents and traders to have a look at the ideas and give their feedback.
A covered pannier style market, a new purpose-built community centre and a space for civic events are among the ideas coming forward.
The three options on the table all include keeping some parking at the site, as well as enhancing its small shops and workshops
Also on the cards could be a medium sized food store, office space, and ‘later living’ apartments - and one of the options would see part of the historic livestock market retained.
The proposals will be on display at Liskeard Carnival at the Cattle Market tomorrow (4-6pm) and at Liskeard Show on Saturday, July 9.
People can also go online at www.cornwall.gov.uk/liskeardcattlemarket to view the plans and have their say before July 11.
