Residents of the Cornwall Gateway Community Network area are invited to learn about planning matters and the Police and Crime Plan at the Community Network Panel’s meeting on July 28.
Lisa Vango, strategy and planning manager for the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, will be on hand to talk about the consultation on the Police and Crime Plan. The plan sets out the strategic direction for policing and community safety in Devon and Cornwall and the related spending priorities.
Councillor Edwina Hannaford, Cornwall Council’s planning portfolio holder, and Phil Mason, head of planning and enterprise at Cornwall Council, will give a presentation on Planning the Future – Working Together.
The presentation will include the latest developments in the planning service, an update on the Cornwall Local Plan and support for neighbourhood plans.
Cornwall Councillor Bob Austin, Chair of Cornwall Gateway Network Panel, said: ’This meeting is a chance for local people to find out more about the important topics of policing and planning and how changes in these areas will affect their communities in the future. There will also be the opportunity to ask questions on planning policy and strategy, and I would encourage everyone to come along.’
Cornwall Gateway Community Network Panel includes all eight Cornwall Councillors for the area and representatives of the 11 parishes in the community network: Antony, Botus Fleming, Landrake with St Erney, Landulph, Maker-with-Rame, Millbrook, Saltash, Sheviock, St Germans, St John and Torpoint.
The meeting takes place on July 28 from 6.30pm to 8.30pm in Botus Fleming Church Hall. The meeting is open to the public.
