A large development has been given the go-ahead after almost two years in the pipeline.
The Wainhomes scheme off Charter Way, Liskeard, has been approved by Cornwall Council and includes land for commercial use and 207 houses. While welcoming the business park, Liskeard Town Council had serious concerns over safe access to the site and had objected to the proposal on those grounds. The town council says that there are already several difficult access points onto Charter Way and that consideration should have been given to an alternative entry point to the new estate. But Cornwall Council says that its highways officer is satisfied with the plans.
