PHOTOGRAPHERS are being encouraged to capture the beauty and freedom of a post-lockdown Cornwall, and support the county’s air ambulance.
Entries should be in by July 13, and while the overall winner will receive a mounted copy of their photo, all category winners and selected runners-up will feature in a 2022 calendar to be produced by the club.
Liskeard and Looe’s Inner Wheel is a friendship group for women that meets on the fourth Tuesday of every month, usually at Tapenades in Liskeard: this local group has been meeting for 61 years!
They describe themselves as a small part of the International Inner Wheel, which promotes friendship, personal service and international understanding.
“Since lockdown, meetings have been taking place by Zoom, which most of our members have embraced,” said president Bridgette North.
“We currently have 31 members and two more ladies waiting to join when we can meet again face to face. We enjoy seeing each other when we can, so at the moment, well wrapped up in the garden in groups of six.”
The group carries out fundraising activities for the president’s nominated charities: in October, a harvest supper is planned in aid of the Looe RNLI Lifeboat appeal.
