The plan has led to three letters of objection and a petition with 38 signatures being sent to the district council.
The application, by Sovereign Housing Association, involves the construction of two three bed units, and four two bed units in three blocks of two on a site at Felsburg. The site was formerly part of a nursery and has been generally cleared of greenhouses. Only the more permanent structures remain, and these would be cleared.
Concerns included claims that the development would be undesirable in the midst of senior citizens dwellings, and loss of light. Some residents have maintained they would rather the area be used as a village green, while others would like to see it become a recreation area.
