I'm writing this letter mainly aimed at Caradon Council, but also to the people who occupy three bedroom council houses and live in them on their own, or with a couple of dogs or cats!
I believe the council should give the tenant more incentive to give up these houses to families that are homeless or in very small flats or bedsits.
The exception to the rule being in the case of a father or mother who needs a three-bedroom property under child access orders by the divorce courts so that their children may stay with them at weekends and holidays!
I feel very strongly about this, surely these people should not be allowed to stay in houses that are too big for their needs, when families and especially the young children need that extra space. The good thing that comes with most houses is the little patch of garden where little children can play safely.
I know there are families waiting for houses like yours, so please think about exchanging for a smaller more suitable flat or bungalow.
I'm not meaning to sound too controversial, but remember these houses were built to house children, not our four legged friends and one human!
