PEOPLE in Cornwall are less happy about where they live - and are more dissatisifed with their local authority than most.
Those are two findings from the 2017 Cornwall Council resident survey, revealed this week.
Overall, 82% of residents surveyed were satisfied with their local area as a place to live – but this varied significantly across the county, with 92% satisfied in Wadebridge and Padstow but only 64% in Bodmin.
The council said most survey responses showed decreasing levels of satisfaction compared to the previous survey – and that the council remains below national measures collected by the Local Government Association.
We’ll report in depth on the views of people in South East Cornwall in the new print edition of the Cornish Times, on sale on Friday.
