Pensilva Summer Skittles league

Before a ball was bowled last Tuesday it was forecast to be a close game on skittles when the top two teams met for the second time where on the previous game the Tigers took all six points from the Bodmin Landers. At the half-way stage the Tigers held a four pin advantage and collected two points but the second half showed the Landers with a four point advantage thus making the totals the same amount so three points were awarded to each team, a very rare occurance.

The Gremlins, who suffered a 6-0 defeat in their first encounter with the Rascals, sought revenge and did just that by 17 pins but showed only two points separating the two teams after the first four legs of skittling.

The Galaxy team of four started off very well in the first half to account for 140 pins where the Middlers four could only knock over 100 but did manage to rescue two points with a three pin majority in the second period but still showed a 4-2 Galaxy win, reversing the fixture result in the first half of the season.

The Quarriers just got the better of both halves in their fixture versus the Hillsecs and rise two places in the table with six more game to play.

The Potholers versus the Golden Girls game was postponed till next week owing to other commitments.
