Forty-four pins in the first half and 33 pins in the second four legs put Lorna England, captain of Middlers, into the ladies' top spot, replacing team-mate Margaret Edwards with 73 pins. This played a big part in their 6-0 over the girls from the health centre, who remain pointless and are yet to strike gold!
Tigers stay near the top of the table as they gained a 4-2 win over the Quarriers with the latter earning their two points due to a second half collapse by those Tigers from Lower Middle Hill.
The Potholers, also from Lower Middle Hill, were without two of their regulars and were unable to keep up with the Galaxy Four, who won both halves and rise to third position thanks to the six points gained in the match.
Top of the table Bodmin Landers have were pitted against Rascals and after four legs of skittling, the pinfall was even at 121 pins, thus both teams earned one point. However, the Jeffery family were the better team in the second half to record a 5-1 win over the Rascals and hold on to the top spot.
