Car parking charges in South East Cornwall are set to rise in line with the rest of the county – but the fee for the first hour could be pegged at current rates for the next year. Members of Cornwall Council's Parking Advisory Panel say they have listened to concerns over the potential impact of the planned average five per cent increase in car park charges on the viability of town centres. They are recommending that charges for the first hour should be frozen. The concerns were raised by a number of businesses, organisations and individuals.
