Park Motors sponsored AFC Dobsons Summer league - More 'Hits' than 'Misses'

At the end of the 12th week of the league competition, it looks as though the Hits and Misses may have the league sewn up. During this week, they played their outstanding match and defeated the Bilge Rats by 9.5 pts to 0.5. They also faced the league leaders and won by seven points to three.

The race for the second spot is very close, and could go to any one of three teams. Only five points seperate the Jets, Notter Five and the Bulldogs A. The latter of these teams has a game in hand over the others, although they also had a very close match against Lobby's Gang, who won the game by 5.5 points to 4.5.

The highest individual scores in the Men's section sees Roy Champion leading the pack with 88 pins. In the Ladies' section, Hannah Parsons leads with 85 pins. Next week sees the start of the Knock-our competitions.
