Swingletree had yet another good win against Launceston College. Swingle made changes to the team due to absence. Centre Bridgette Yendle took the GA position feeding the GS Tina Chapman well who played yet another outstanding match.

Having WA Jude Shipton back from injury made a difference. She played at her best along with substitute Cathryn Dore who played centre. The changes did not deter them too much the whole team held it together and dominated the match from start to finish. GD Helen Smith had an outstanding game having her height as an advantage, she used it well and made some great interceptions, giving them many chances of which unfortunately were unable to finish off. Due to excellent defending by Swingle, especially GK Michelle Evely Launceston were unable to score a goal until the second half when GA Nicola Jones shot some outstanding goals from the edge of the circle. It was an enjoyable match with Swingle winning 33-6.

Action had a very exciting game against Harrowbarrow. Both teams played at their best, good defending and shooting, going goal for goal not knowing who was going to come out on top. The end result tells you how exciting the match was, Action just took it by one goal 19-18.

The next match was between 7up and Plums. 7up took the lead from the start with centre Karen Hocking playing some outstanding netball and setting up some great chances for her shooters. Centre court play was good making it very difficult for Plums to find space. Centre Hannah Moir who was sidelined due to illness and was missed. The team found it hard to hold together and they lacked their usual standard.

Hannah made a difference when she came on in the last quarter and played well setting up her GA who shot some great goals. But it was all too late as 7up had a good lead and held on to win 37-10.Nominated players, Tina Chapman, Helen Smith, Laura Colledge, Phillipa Band, Karen Hocking.
