The Alke Quartet, from the Royal College of Music, have been chosen from more than 750 students as this year’s winners of the Boconnoc Music Award. They will be performing two concerts on the estate this month: in the house on Tuesday, July 19, and in the church on Thursday, July 21. Previous winners of the award have gone on to do a wide range of work, from projectmanaging the Michael Kamen Music Collection, to playing with the Birmingham Royal Ballet and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
