HAVING led the call for the Government to abandon plans to cut the coastguard service, Sheryll Murray has welcomed reports that this has now happened.
The South East Cornwall MP, who lost her commercial fisherman husband Neil to the sea in March, had led calls in the House of Commons and in responses to a consultation, saying she did not believe the coast of Devon and Cornwall could be served by just one station in Southampton.
