We would like to thank all those involved in the successful Market & Coastal Towns Initiative Consultation Day in the Guildhall last Saturday. Thanks especially to Craig and Debbie from Peppers Taverna and Julia Peat for the professional catering, David Gardner and steering group members for their enthusiasm and dedication, but most of all a big thank you to the people of Looe who took the time to have their say. Over 750 'post its' with ideas, views and concerns were posted in the theme areas. These comments are being recorded and will be published in due course. It is hoped that residents can keep abreast via the Looe website www. looecornwall.com by clicking on Looe MCTI on the homepage. The 50 plus people who signed up to be involved in the more detailed work of the health check will be contacted shortly to form the theme groups. The four main theme groups will take forward the findings of Saturday and future town consultations, working over the next 10 months towards the Community Strategic Plan for Looe. Saturday was the first of many opportunities for the people of Looe to Have their Say. Look out for details of future opportunities in the local press, the Looe website or contact Project Co-ordinator John Evans on 01752 823066 or email [email protected]">[email protected]. Alternatively, you can leave a message in person at the Looe Enterprise Centre, Higher Market Street, East Looe.
