It was Minions mayhem on The Parade as long queues formed for the chance to have a picture taken next to the popular film characters, who also found themselves the subjects of dozens of ‘selfies’ as grown-up fans also muscled in on the fun!
The sunny day and a live broadcast in Liskeard by the Pirate FM Love Cornwall Tour, all added to the day of summer fun which was enjoyed by the local community, and many families who came into town from the surrounding villages especially to ‘Meet the Minions’.
The Pannier Market, which is run by the traders’ association, was specially decorated for the day, and was packed with children enjoying two large arts and crafts tables. A bouncy castle on The Parade added to the atmosphere and in Fore Street the traders joined in by organising games, with another long queue – this time for glitter tattoos.
