Carlsberg South Western League
Millbrook 0 Falmouth Town 3
Millbrook were made to pay for not making the most of their early dominance as Falmouth took their unbeaten run to 16 games, replacing Liskeard in the runners-up spot in the process. For Ian Stephens' Tamarsiders, the end of the season cannot come too soon as this year has been disappointing to say the least. Yet, the first half-hour of this game saw Millbrook pin their visitors back in their own half which they struggled to get out of. Bryan Stacey, Lee Maddock, Myles Evans, Steve Sims and Dave Smith were all either thwarted or missed the target, and they were almost shown the way on the half-hour when Tom Sundercombe was denied the opening goal by Mark Henwood's superb save. It was only a short reprieve for the home side as, 12 minutes later, Henwood blotted his copybook by failing to advance from his line and collect a long ball out of defence which left Daniel Nancarrow to slot the ball home from just inside the area. The second half was a complete turnaround as two more errors from Henwood resulted in goals from Jake Hartigan and Mike Body in the 70th and 80th minutes respectively.
