A public meeting is to be held in Looe about the problems the town has been facing in recent months.
The meeting, which will be attended by officials from Cornwall Council and Cormac, will take the form of a consultation with residents and business owners.
There will be a chance to raise the issues which have affected the town since the first landslips late last year, particularly the roadworks.
Town clerk Anne Frith said she has asked Cornwall Council for the meeting to be held before July 19, when St Martin's Hill, presently closed to traffic both ways, will have one lane opened to help with the holiday traffic.
The request for the meeting was put before the town council by hotelier Julian Peck. Along with county councillor Armand Toms, mayor David Bryan and resident Paul Kenshole, he has been trying to sort out traffic problems involving visitors who are getting confused about the diversions in place.
Mr Peck said: 'I believe the people of Looe deserve an explanation as to why we have been treated so appallingly through all these eight months of crisis.'
Cllr Toms said that Looe needs road signage improvement, and he wants Cornwall Council to consider one way traffic only on St Martin's Hill when it re-opens. He fears, along with others, that if both lanes are opened under traffic light control , it will cause chaos.
'It would be sensible to have traffic coming down St Martin's Hill, with the exit out of town along the A387 Sandplace Road, which is fully open both ways,' he said.
