A MEETING focusing on housing issues in Saltash will take place in the Guildhall on Tuesday, September 21. Starting at 7pm, members of the public will be invited to look at the future prospects for Saltash and its surrounding parishes over the next ten to 20 years. The meeting is organised by members of the Gateway Initiative, and will also look at ideas including affordable housing, the provision of sheltered housing, and future trends such as the move towards sustainable homes. Organisations with a local interest in housing - such as tenant groups, housing associations and local authorities - are also being invited to send representatives. 'Our previous meetings to discuss Health and local sports provision have been very well attended,' said Councillor Brian Carter, who is managing the meeting. 'We've had some lively discussions but more importantly, we've seen some real action as a result. 'We really want everyone living in the PL12 area to take this chance to have their say about this and other issues that will affect them and their children in the future.'
