A NUMBER of youth football teams from South East Cornwall took part in the Looe Bay Soccer Festival, organised by R&T Tours, at Looe Bay Holiday Park over the Bank Holiday weekend.
R&T Tours host football tournaments all over the country, which are sanctioned by The English FA, Welsh FA, Scottish FC, UEFA and FIFA.
The stars of the show were the Looe Under-11 team, coached by Dave McGee, who remained unbeaten on their way to the title, scoring 20 goals without conceding, thanks in no small part to the safe hands of goalkeeper Callum Kuhn.
Special mention must also Go to the Looe Under-eights who, in their first-ever tournament, went home with the Fair Play trophy.
The awards were presented by former Liverpool and Plymouth Argyle goalkeeper Bruce Grobbelaar.
