A football match, was played at the Looe Community Sports Field on Monday, in memory of 19-year-old Ollie Naismith, who lost his life in a car crash on December 6. The event, which was organised by Duncan Sweeney saw a 'Sweeney All Stars' side take on Looe Town's B team, and all proceeds from the day were donated to Looe Lifeboat. Looe Town eventually ran out 11-1 winners, but the scoreline didn't tell the whole story as the evergreen Sweeney bagged the goal of the game for the All Stars. Players and organisers thanked everyone for their support, especially Cornwall County Councillor Armand Toms for turning out on a very cold day to referee the match.
