THIS week’s Cornish Times recipe comes from chef and cookery writer Saira Hamilton’s new book My Bangladesh Kitchen: Recipes and Food Memories From A Family Table.

The recipe is for a spicy dish called Tehari, and also known as Old Dhaka-style beef biryani, as it comes from the narrow streets of the Bangladesh capital, Dhaka.

Saira says it’s an easy dish to make and is delicious served with yogurt and some salad.
