A new leaflet has just been produced to help promote the Wacker to Antony Trail in south east Cornwall and the wealth of wildlife that may be seen along the way.

Calstock artist, Ley Roberts, has painted no less than 17 detailed plants and creatures that have been spotted along the Trail, together with beautiful watercolour pictures of the viewpoints that can be enjoyed during the walk or while stopping for a picnic.

The 1.8-mile permissive path from Wacker Quay to Antony was opened in June 2012, and follows the route of a 19th century military railway. The trail was cleared and developed by local volunteers and it continues to be managed by them through the Tamar Community Trust.

Leaflets are available to pick up from local outlets throughout the Lynher area, or the Tamar Valley Centre, near Gunnislake.

Wacker Quay car park, where the Trail begins, is clearly signposted from the main A374 road from Torpoint to Trerulefoot, 2 miles west of Antony village.
