The Veterans from Pensilva stretched their unbeaten run on Sunday to seven games but were battled all the way by the gutsy Barley Sheaf.
All of the top four teams notched up a win whilst Davies Turner Air Cargo let their lead go to give the Ploughboy the points.
At the other end of the table Stonegate put their first point on the board by holding the Peoples Front of Judea to a 1-1 draw and the Dragons fought out a good win over DDFC.
In the other games Safeway put up a good second half performance against Lux Park who just managed to hold on to their 2-1 lead. Whilst Sports Hall Wanderers proved too much for Dilberts Kickers who went down 5-0.
