Jeanne opens
the bazaar
THE annual bazaar and gift day was held at Riverside Church, Looe, on Saturday last.
The Rev Margaret Oxenham welcomed Looe's Citizen of the Year, Jeanne Dingle, who with her long connection with the church had agreed to perform the opening ceremony.
A large number of people attended the event and business was brisk. The sum of £1,700 was raised.
The bazaar and gift day followed a successful photographic display staged in the church. Thanks were extended to John Southern who collected and arranged the exhibition and donated £315 towards vital maintenance work in the church foyer.
