Brett's boots are

made for dancing

SEVENTEEN year old Brett Johnston of East Looe is quickly dancing up the ladder of success, after having recently returned from the World Country and Western Dance Championships where he finished fourth in the newcomers division for classic line dancing.

And during March Brett, who began dancing seven years ago, is off to Liverpool to audition for 'Dance Superstars' and is one of the youngest dancers hoping to gain a place. Many of the competitors have sponsorship which helps with the cost of special costumes, travel, accommodation, fees and C.D.'s for the music, and Brett's mum is hoping that his outstanding achievements so far will attract some help from the town. He is hoping to travel to the World Championships again next January, but it will depend on if he can attract some sponsorship.

Brett attends Eileen Mitchell's Busy Boots Club at Tideford and the Plymouth College for Performing Arts. He also attends the Tanner-J Dance Studio in Plymouth.
