Devon and Cornwall issued with multiple snow and ice warningsWhen the Pre School re-opens in September the children will find an extra classroom, and the staff and parents will appreciate the new kitchen, store room and entrance. The Pre-School will have level access for wheelchair users including a disabled toilet. The enlarged and improved building will enable more children to be offered places for each session, thus cutting the long waiting list.
Looe Town Council is giving £1,000 towards the project with the balance of nearly £600 being provided by West Looe Town Trust. Other local organisations including The Looe Lions (£500), Liskeard and Looe Ladies Circle (£50) and Looe Community School (£200) have generously pledged money to help cover the cost of flooring, curtains, furniture and storage cupboards. Pre-School parents continue to fundraise, they have already raised £212 towards their target of £500.
