SAFE lodgings are urgently needed in Cornwall for 16-17 year-old care leavers.
’We urgently need to ensure we can provide a safe home for Care Leavers during the coronavirus crisis, with additional accommodation required in the coming weeks,’ said Cornwall Council’s Children, Schools and Families team.
’As a supported lodgings provider you will offer suitable accommodation - this can be in your home, an annexe, or a separate building. You will also provide support, and access to facilities. We will provide training, support from the team and a weekly payment for each young person with you.’
The 16+ Supported Lodgings Scheme provides young people with the help and guidance they need to make the transition from care to independence.
