The More4 TV series, Devon and Cornwall, is set to put two businesses from south east Cornwall in the spotlight thanks to their love of gin.

Airing nationwide on Bank Holiday Monday, May 6 at 9pm, episode six of the eight-part series will feature Talland Bay Hotel near Looe and Colwith Farm Distillery at Lanlivery, following the story of their collaboration in creating a craft Cornish gin.

Jack Ashby-Wright, General Manager at Talland Bay Hotel said: ‘The production company first made contact with Steve at Colwith as they’d heard how he’d diversified the family farming business to build Cornwall’s first single estate gin distillery.

‘At the time we were starting out on a project to produce a Talland Bay own blend of gin to add to our extensive collection and they were keen to include this in the show.’

Steve Dustow, owner of Colwith Farm Distillery said: ‘We quickly identified that this would make a good story with lots of different aspects to it, the new distillery, the fifth-generation farm and working with an award-winning hotel. It’s something to be really proud of and will be great exposure for this quieter pocket of Cornwall.’
