Fountain Lions move two points clear at the top of Section A as they win against last year's champions Garrison and Market lose to Highway C. London are only two points behind Market.

Garrison led Fountain Lions 4-2 but Lions went into top gear and won 10 of the remaining 12 games to record a 12-6 win. All pairs won four each for the Lions. John Saunter and Chris Blackborow won four with Terry Lobb and Trevor Burton not troubling the scorecard.

Highway C stormed into a 7-2 lead over second placed Market. Market responded by winning five of the last nine but it was not enough to prevent Highway taking all the points with a 10-8 win. Sharon Francis and Michelle Wilton won four with both other pairs winning three each. Jim Kelly and Frankie Powell top scored for Market with four.

London went 5-1 up against Dobsons who then responded by winning the next three to trail 5-4. London then powered ahead by winning six of the last nine to record an 11-7 win. Chris Penter and Andrew Bunt, Andrew Tamblyn and Brian Martyn all won four for London. Eric Andrew and Andy Powell, Mick and Wayne Hutchings all won three for Dobsons.

Con Club met an inform Highway A team who won 11-7. Con Club were 5-4 up but Highway A then won seven of the last nine to take all the points. Peter Anthony and Gerald McDonald, Ian Wilton and Simon Putt all won four for Highway A. Val and Sue Pryor won three for Con Club.

Wheal Tor recorded an 11-7 win over Police A whose losing run continues. The Police A were 5-4 up before Wheal Tor won seven of the last nine. Maureen Skews and Tom Bolitho, Stan Skews and Dave Clatworthy all won four for Wheal Tor. Phil Toms and John Waters, Bill McGloughlin and Graham Walburton all won three for the Police. Doug Bradner and Dave Cock won three for St Neot A.

Legion B were 5-4 down after the first three games. The scores were levelled up at six all only for St Neot to win four of the last six to take all the points. Dave Cock and Bill Miners won four with both other pairs winning three each for St Neot A. Clive Sargent and Trevor Keast, John Brice and Alan White all won three for Legion B.

White Horse still lead Section B by one point from White Hart A after both teams recorded wins. White Hart B stay in third spot despite losing to White Horse with Legion A and Fountain in equal fourth place.

White Hart B held the leaders at three all before White Horse went into top gear winning eight of the next nine games. White Hart B won all the last three games to finish 11-7 down. Bernie Hoskin and Terry Kurn, Nobby Clark and Steve Hawes all won four for White Horse. T Pound and R Gillbard top scored for White Hart with three.

White Hart A maintain their challenge with a convincing win over Cheesewring. White Hart went 9-0 up before Cheesewring responded by winning five of the last nine to go down 13-5. John Thomas and Taff Lewis won five, K Allen and R Bettison, D Skeet and L Crocker all won four for White Hart A.

Legion were always ahead against Lord Eliot. Legion went 9-3 up before running out 13-5 winners. Allan Randall and Queenie Charge won all six, Min Prisk and Derek Charge won five for Legion A. Bill Haynes and Ian Gill won three for Lord Eliot.

Fountain started off by winning the first three games at Barley A. Barley came back to go into the last round 9-6 down but only managed to win two of the last three games to lose 10-8. S Parker and A Brooking won four for Fountain. Rich Freeman and Bill Denning, Pete Stewart and Duane Goode all won three for the Barley.

Police B won every round of the match 2-1 against Barley B to win 12-6. Dave Crocker and J Clemes, P Waters and P Mills all won five for Police B. Shane Pollard and Amanda Gilmore won four for Barley.

Postponed match. White Hart B won this match 11-7 at home to Legion A. White Hart went 7-2 up after three rounds and then won four of the last nine games to record the win. J Bennallick and Brian Raines, T Pound and R Gillbard all won four for White Hart B. Derek Charge and Min Prisk, Lee and Colin Penwarden all won three for Legion A.
