Five-year-old Lily Fisher, of Polruan, wants to thank everyone who supported her fundraising efforts for the Little Princess Trust, which makes wigs for children who have lost their hair while undergoing treatments for cancer. Lily’s coffee morning at Polruan’s Community Fire Station, her sponsored hair cut and various collections – including at Polperro School, where she is a pupil – raised the total of £1,560.76. Lily also donated her own hair to the trust so it could be made into a wig. Mum Michelle Fisher said: ‘We had originally aimed at raising £350, which would have funded the cost of making one wig, but exceeding this total by so much is fantastic. We are absolutely amazed and want to thank everyone involved in the fundraising and all who donated.’
