Liskeard’s landmark Liberal Club is back on the market.

The building in the town centre was sold at auction back in July after the Liberal Democrats decided to end ownership of the property.

But auctioneers Clive Emson said: ‘The sale did complete but the new owner’s priorities have since changed and the property has gone back on to the market.’

Keen interested is expected when the building goes under the hammer next month at a freehold guide of £145,000 to £165,000.

It features the former Liberal Club premises on the ground floor, its large Memorial Hall and feature balcony on the first floor plus an extensive array of offices and stores on the second floor.

A ground floor retail unit – Liskeard Book Shop – is let at £7,000 per annum in the property at 2 Barras Street.

Clive Emson Auctioneers holds eight rounds of auctions at five locations from Essex to Cornwall on consecutive days every six weeks.

Starting at 1am, the seventh of Clive Emson Auctioneers’ eight regional West Country auctions in 2017 takes place at the St Mellion International Resort, on Friday, November 3.
