CALLINGTON got their league programme off to a flying start with a resounding win over old friends and rivals Falmouth, thanks to a maiden Premier Division century from 17 year old Jake Libby.
Apart from precious league points, the teams were also competing for the Richard Norris Memorial Cup (sponsored by The Bulls Head, Callington) in memory of Callington's former player and captain, who died in 2008.
Callington will now defend the trophy at Trescobeas on August 21 – coincidentally Richard's birthday.
