The bounce was back in Callington's step

after a hugely pleasing and highly encouraging winning draw at title-chasing Werrington. Jim Shorten won the toss and, given the dismal batting displays of recent weeks, it was a brave decision to bat first. Shorten himself must have been questioning his decision when, after 25 overs, his side were reduced to 50 for seven – and another embarrassing sub-100 score looked likely. Lake Libby had made a dozen and Andy Shorten 17, with Ian Worsnip taking the first three wickets including Dan Davies who he bowled first ball. Darren Johns claimed the next four to leave the visitors in serious trouble, but their salvation came in the perhaps unlikely guise of Aiden Libby and Jamie Hatch.
