Improvement works are to begin this month at two leisure centres bordering South East Cornwall.
Centres operator GLL says £650,000 will be invested over the coming months at Polkyth Leisure Centre in St Austell and a further £475,000 will be invested in the Dragon Leisure Centre, Bodmin.
Both centres will receive new, larger gyms and a new fitness studio along with maintenance and refreshment to the reception areas.
Polkyth Leisure Centre will also see a full café refresh and improvements to the dry side changing facilities, whilst the Dragon Leisure Centre will receive improvements to the tennis member changing rooms and a brand new tennis social area.
This investment follows the first phase of leisure centre improvements where six other ‘Better’ facilities received complete gym overhauls including Saltash Leisure Centre and Lux Park Leisure Centre in Liskeard.
