Stalwarts of the Royal British Legion in South East Cornwall have been honoured.

At the Legion’s Cornwall County Conference at Truro County Hall, Saltash businesswoman Mrs Heather Wellington of Piglets won the prestigious Kernow (Bob Davidson) Award in recognition of the work she does for the RBL within the community.

Heather’s shop window displays at Remembrance time have become famous, and she helps and supports the legion throughout the year.

She was presented the award by Commodore Muriel Hocking of the Tideford and St Germans Branch (pictured).

Saltash Branch President Bill Dent not only won the County Chairman’s Award for his support and services as county vice chairman, but also a Long Service Award. The awards were presented to Bill by county chairman Steve Lewis.

Steve Lewis also presented a Long Service Award to Muriel Hocking.
