League rule was contravened
St Austell have received the 20 points for their County Division One fixture which was postponed at Penzance in May. They were awarded following a claim to the Jolly's Drinks Cornwall league by St Austell that three dates for rearrangement had not been offered by Penzance within 96 hours of the postponement.
Both Penzance and the Western Sectional Committee accepted that the League Rule 4h had been contravened and St Austell were in a position to claim the points as the rule stipulates.
However, the League Appeals Committee asked St Austell, but to no avail, to reconsider their claim in view of the extenuating circumstances at the Penzance club at the time and in the spirit of good will.
