A SOUTH East Cornwall mum whose first book about marine litter has been a worldwide hit (to launch) will tomorrow launch her second tale - highlighting the issue of balloon releases and the environmental damage they cause.

Ellie Jackson is teaming up with an eco-designer and environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy at the launch of ‘Marli’s Tangled Tale’.

The new story, about a puffin and ocean pollution, follows the success of her first book ‘Duffy’s Lucky Escape’, a positive story about a turtle and marine litter.

One of Ellie’s daughter’s will be dressed specially for the launch in clothing created by Linda Thomas Eco Design from discarded balloons.

Linda hit the headlines in the summer with her 72-foot long ‘Wave of Waste’ dress made from 100 discarded bodyboards in collaboration with Keep Britain Tidy’s BeachCare team.

Ellie and Linda will be supported by schoolchildren from Looe Primary Academy holding up ’99 Dead Balloons’ picked up from beaches in Cornwall.
