Liskeard travelled to HMS Raleigh for this return to Trelawney Three League action after a long Christmas lay off. Despite being depleted in usual strength due to half-term holiday absences, Liskeard got off to a good start with two goals before half time from Angela 'Panto-Queen' Burgess andone from regular fire power Jackie Wray who took advantage of goodbuild up play by the midfield to make a comfortable lead.

After thebreak Tyhee attacked strongly and capitalised on gaps in the visitors midfield with two well finished goals reducing the gap between the teams.

A well executed penalty corner finished off with a sure strike by E-J Smith secured the game for Liskeard. However Tuhee came back with a shot lifted over the horizontal keeper to bring the game to a close.

Level one hockey umpiring course is being run by Chris Jackson, Cornwall Hockey Umpires Assoc., at Lux Park Leisure Centre on Monday Feb 28 and Wed March 15 from 7-9 pm.
