LOOE Chamber of Trade and Commerce could be suspended because of a lack of people to run it. A message posted on the http://www.looecornwal.com">www.looecornwal.com website by chairman Brett Pearn warns that more officers must be recruited before Christmas. The message said: 'The Chamber is running short on officers at the present time and is relying on the time and effort of one individual and I can't do it all – so I would appreciate people coming forward with a view to setting the chamber on its new less stuffy course. 'If there is no assistance forthcoming this side of Christmas then a EGM will be called regarding suspending the chamber.  'There is a possibility that the sucessful looecornwall website should be sold off in order that remaining partners and advertisers can continue to benefit from both the web-presence and business attracted through it.' Mr Pearn said that he is now the only active member of the chamber and particularly needs a secretary and a treasurer. He has been approached by people wanting to know the chamber's stance on the controversial proposal to redevelop the Admiral Boscarne site on the seafront and says that if more members come forward a meeting could be held to discuss the issue. Anyone interested in joining the chamber should contact Mr Pearne on 01503 263613.
