Liskeard Job Centre is making use of a new app aimed at providing job seekers with a one-stop shop for all of their career needs.

The app, imployable, was launched in March and already has thousands of users. It has a jobs board, coaching suite, volunteering opportunities and a section which signposts users who need held and advice on a wide range of areas from debt and mental health to gambling.

It is aimed at those not just looking for jobs but who are thinking of changing their career or who are not sure which career to go into. The app will let users know what qualifications and experience they need to get a specific job.

The founders of the app are former marines Peter Kelly and Kieron Yeoman who found it impossible to find a job when they left the military.

Kieron said: ‘A number of special projects are coming to light, one of which includes a partnership with the Department of Work and Pensions. imputable do not just want to serve the recruitment industry, they are a business with a conscience and aim to make working environments better, improve individual’s employment opportunities and help companies and people to have a happy workforce.’
